Hi Katey, since February 1 is within the Spring Festival, it may not be easy to get train tickets. You could inquire at the train station. If you couldn't get ticket at the station, you could try booking online: http://www.12306.cn/mormhweb/. But now only Chinese website available. Please note there is no direct train from Guilin to Zhangjiajie. You could take train from Guilin to Liuzhou first and then take train from Liuzhou to Zhangjiajie. From Zhangjiajie to Hong Kong, you could take bus/flight from Zhangjiajie to Changsha first and then fly from Changsha to Hong Kong.

Dear Ang Mui Hon,
Based on the former data, the temperature will be 5-8°C. It's very cold, you'd better take the down jacket. Even though you can take the cable car, you still had to have a walk for long distance. Maybe it's difficult for the senior people.
