It is quite convenient to travel around in Beihai by sea, air or bus.
Fucheng Airport, as one of the biggest airports in Guangxi, is 25 km from the downtown. It now offers regular flights to over 20 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Nanning, Guilin and Sanya with nearly 100 flights.
Qinzhou to Beihai Railway makes it convenient to travel between Beihai and Nanning (the capital city of the autonomous region). There are trains every day and it takes three hours around. Trains (K9320 and K9310) start from Beihai with Nanning as their terminus, while K9309 and K9319 are the opposite.
Buses to some important cities such as Guilin, Nanning, Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou. Thus it is regarded as the landway of the Southwest China to the sea.
Long-distance buses to Hanoi in Vietnam are available every day at Beihai Long Distance Bus Station (北海汽车总站, Address: 1 Central Beibuwan Road 北部湾中路1号. Take public bus No1, 3 or 8 to get there). The bus departs at 07:00 in the morning, and the journey takes about 7 hours.
The passenger ship has five lines separately to Haikou, Guangzhou, Weizhou Island, Tokyo in Japan and Singapore. It has lines to Weizhou Island every day, which takes one and a half hours. The line to Haikou always shoves off.
