Beijing Snow World Ski Park is Beijing's largest and it's the nearest natural ski resort to Beijing city.
It is located at Fenghuang Mountain of the Ming Tombs tourism area, and is surrounded by mountains. Northwest are the Bodhisattva Mountains. East is Camel Hill. South is Fenghuang Mountain.
All these mountains are full of green pines and verdant cypresses. In the winter trees are covered by snow. In the spring flowers blossom everywhere. It is beautiful and pleasant scenery.
Snow World Ski Park is about 36 kilometers from Sanhuan Madianqiao on the G6 Expressway. It only needs 30 minutes' drive.
The site of Beijing Snow World Ski Park was selected by United States and Canadian experts according to Beijing's landscape and climate conditions, and was designed to the latest style of international trails. The total area of this ski park is approximately half a square kilometer with junior, intermediate, and senior trails.
Facilities
It has world-class advanced professional skiing facilities, including snow compactor, snow machines, and snow mobiles, which were imported from the United States, Canada, and Japan. Tourists can enjoy one of the most safe and comfortable skiing environments there.
Beijing Snow World Ski Park can satisfy all ski lovers' diverse needs with full facilities. It has six pistes including two intermediate and senior pistes with lengths of 500 meters, three international standard pistes for beginners with lengths of 380 meters and one snowboard piste with a length of 380 meters, covering a total area of 100,000 square meters.
The Ski Park is a well-equipped ski resort that maintains a minimum stock of 3,000 rental ski sets. It has a safe and stimulating snow motorcycle trail, a snow flying-saucer trail for both kids and senior people, dog/horse-drawn sleigh trails, and children's amusement parks: Ice Playing Park and Snow Playing Park.

Activities
Beijing Snow World Ski Park has a rich variety of entertaining activities such as making snowmen, horse-drawn sleighs, dog-drawn sleighs, driving snow mobiles, bonfire parties, snow dancing, night skiing, an Ice and Snow Party, and snow carving.
They have prepared all kinds of amusements and sports for each age-level of snow lovers. They also offer full-time coaching classes for beginners, and help the beginners to master the ski essentials in 2–3 hours.
It is a year-round tourist destination. Tourists can see world-famous sculptors' large Ice Sculpture Exhibitions and Ice Lanterns Exhibitions at the resort in any season without heading to northeast China or waiting for the winter.
Dining and Accommodation
Beijing Snow World Ski Park is equipped with elegant coffee shops, Western restaurants, and Chinese restaurants, which can serve more than 500 customers at the same time.
Food menus are diverse, including buffets, self-service hot pots, and other dishes. The most popular dishes are beef hot pot and instant-boiled mutton. The buffet is 50 RMB/person.
Near the ski park there is a fruits resort. Guests can stay there at night for convenience if they stay a whole day at the Ski Park.
Prices
- Monday–Friday: 160 RMB/day, including entry and rental of ski equipment and use of the cable car.
- Weekends: 240 RMB/day, including entry and rental of ski equipment and use of the cable car.
Transportation
Transportation to the ski park is very convenient. There are shuttle buses from East City (东城), South City (南城), and North City (北城) to the ski park. Shuttle bus company tel: 67183721/4739/9556.
Alternatively take a 345 bus from Deshengmen (德胜门) to China University of Political Science and Law (中国政法大学). Then take a 3 bus to Beijing Snow World Ski Park. Or take bus 919 or 925 from Deshengmen to Xiguanhuandao in Changping District (昌平西关环岛). Then transfer to bus 3 to Beijing Snow World Ski Park.
