You will be picked up at your hotel lobby at around 09:00am and head for Tanzhe Temple.
Tanzhe Temple is situated in the western hills, 30 kilometers west of Beijing. Tanzhe Temple is with a history of 1,700 years and it is the largest and oldest temple in Beijing. Besides its historical culture, Tanzhe Temple has long been also famous for its purple Magnolias. Most magnolias are white, but the two magnolia trees in Tanzhe Temple bear white and purple magnolias. Moreover, the two magnolia trees are over 200 years old and are known to be second to none in north of china. Locals call them the “Two Qiao Beauties,” two great beauties during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). Magnolia blossoms between early and mid April, lasts for only 10 days.
Then move on to the Summer Palace.Summer Palace is up to now the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China. You can cruise on the Kunming lake and also visit the Garden of Virtue and Harmony, which was built as a theater for the Empress Dowager.
Lunch is included. After the tour, you will be returned back to the hotel.
