Currency Exchanges

You'd better exchanges your currency in Bank of China, or the Hotel you stay in. Don't trust any peddler in the street who provides you the service, as they may give you counterfeit currency.

Cyber Cafes

You can find cyber cafes all around the streets and lanes of Chengdu, especially around colleges and universities. The charge is CNY 1.5 to CNY 2 per hour. If you don't bring your laptop to China, these cyber cafes can be one of your choices to get in touch with your friends and families.

I am planning a trip for early Feb to Chengdu . Wonder the weather would be like. Moreover, how can I go from Chengdu to Wolong National Nature Reserve? Is it safe to take a taxi if I am alone (female) and how much is it?
Hi VP, February is cold, with an average high temperature of 12 °C (54 °F ) and low temperature of 5 °C (41 °C ). Wear a sweater, a coat, thick socks and a scarf to stay warm when you go outside. From Chengdu to Wolong National Nature Reserve is about 100km, 1.5hr by car. I think it is not safe for a female to take a taxi alone. The price is very high, too. Whitney Liao Replied on 2013-01-04

DearCynthis, Based on the information from the weather forecast, the average temperature will be 11℃（51.8℉）-18℃（64.4℉）, sometimes it will rain and sometimes it'll be cloudy. I am planning a trip in October to Chengdu and i am not sure what cloths i should bring with me to wear?I have booked the hotel, should i leave my computer in the room when i am not there when sightseeing around Chengdu?I may book a tour through the Hotel after i have arrived depending on my friends who already live in Chengdu!!
Dear Arnold, October is mild, with an average maximum temperature of 21 °C (70 °F ) and an average minimum temperature of 15 °C (59 °F ). With just occasional rains, the city is less humid than the previous month. Nighttime temperatures are several degrees lower than during the daytime, and you may feel a little cold at night. Wear long trousers, a light sweater/ jacket, and a light coat if you go outdoors at night. It is suggested that you find a hotel which has a strongbox in room so that you can put your computer when you are travelling.
