You may submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy. If you cannot go in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to transact your application affairs. No appointment is required. Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned. You should apply for a visa about one month in advance of your trip date.
If you are planning to travel to Tibet Autonomous Region, you should contact the Tourism Administration of the Tibet (Tel: 0086-891-6834313; Fax: 0086-891-6834632) in advance and ask for its approval.
The regular processing day is 4 working days. Besides, the embassy also provides one working day processing and the 2–3 working days processing service, but additional fees will be charged.
You can pick up your visa on the pick-up date specified in the receipt. The receipt must be presented. You should pay visa and service fees when you collect passport.
You need to go to the Visa Office of the Embassy to transact your visa affairs.
The embassy will be closed on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, including New Year’s Day, Chinese Spring Festival, Catholic Easter, International Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, China's National Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.
