Hi all,

I will be spending 2 weeks in China in september, and as this is our first time. I  would be grateful if you could make a quick suggestion if my itinerary could work or not:

Day 1-5 Beijing + Great Wall, fly to Xi'an
Day 6-8 Xi'an, fly to Li Jiang
Day 9-11 Li Jiang, Bus to Dali
Day 12-14 Dali, fly to Guangzhou before catching flight home

I have  already been to HK and wish to keep Shanghai and area around for a separate trip.

I hvee been planning to do this between september 6 and 20, is this enough time before the october national holidays to ensure there won't be large crowds at the main tourist sites?

Thanks everyone!

Why not spend severals days in kunming? You can save a lot if you take flights to or from Kuunming and also Kunming is a place worthy for a visit.

Yes,your itineraray can work out.
Day 1-5 Beijing + Great Wall, fly to Xi'an(That's great!)
Day 6-8 Xi'an, fly to Li Jiang(why not go to Kunming first, and then to Lijiang?Kunming is a worthy palce to visit.)
Day 9-11 Li Jiang
Day 12-14 Dali, fly to Guangzhou
Two weeks ,four cities ,you have enough time to enjoy your trip. You had better finish your trip before national holidays.
Have a good time in China!!
