Do I need a visa for China?

I am from British. I have several days of holiday. I don't know where to spend my holiday now. Should I go to Europe or America? Or I can go to some eastern Countries, such as China or Vietnam, like that. Because this is the first time for me to leave my country, I don't know much about going a broad. Can anyone tell me about some problems which I should pay attention to? Do I need a visa for China or Vietnam?

No Visa is required prior to enter Hong Kong, a Visa will be issued upon arrival. If you travel beyond Hong Kong, even for a few hours, you will need a China visa to enter China.
