Do I need a visa for China?

I am from British. I have several days of holiday. I don't know where to spend my holiday now. Should I go to Europe or America? Or I can go to some eastern Countries, such as China or Vietnam, like that. Because this is the first time for me to leave my country, I don't know much about going a broad. Can anyone tell me about some problems which I should pay attention to? Do I need a visa for China or Vietnam?

Hello, Joff. I am very happy to answer your question here. Hope not to disappoint you anymore.  In fact, all visitors traveling to mainland China, whether for business or pleasure, require a visa. No Visa is required prior to enter Hong Kong, a Visa will be issued upon arrival. If you travel beyond Hong Kong, even for a few hours, you will need a China visa to enter China.

If you have decided to go to China, I will recommended you consult some experienced travel agency online. China is so vast that the weather conditions and customs are different to some extent. I foud a resources very useful which provide many tips FAQ for foreign visitors. You can visit: http://www.chinahighlights.com/faq/travel-tips/
