Cruising China!

I am keen to find out what options there are for cruising in China. By reading online, I have found that Yangtze cruise is promoted on several websites. I am interested in cruising from Chongking to Yicang with shore excursions to the dam, the Three Gorges, the Lesser Three Gorges and Shibaozhai. If members have had any experience- have taken/heard about yangtze cruise, I would love to hear about them, or any other cruise in mainland China. Information about prices, routes, scenery and ship standards would be especially appreciated.

Hi just wanted to share a great tip we had on the Yangzte, I am from USA and thought about booking the trip in home, however someone told me about China Highlights Travel. After a week discussion, one of the travel advisor called Leon arranged the trip to Yangtze as well as some other cities. Everything went very well, he uses local Chinese travel agents guides. Marvellous, all master good English. The amazing thing is his price was much cheaper than booking at home. The trip was great, the boat was a 5 star, Victoria Katarina , an American owned cruise ship. The service was extremely good. We stay 3 nights, 4 days on the ship with days trips onshore like Shibaozhai, the three gorges dam site. I will say the highlights should be the drifting on the lesser three gorges. The scenery there is even more attractive than what you see along Yangtze. I give the caution that transfer is needed when boarding the ship in Chongiqng(I heard that it is the same in Yichang if you take upstream cruise). There are several docks and you will never know where to board until the day you depart. Luckily, we have guides took us to the boat and then from the boat to the airpirt in Yichang. It is well worth seeing. Other cruise i've heard is in Guilin.
