Hi, Clive, that's very nice of you. I have a question here. Is it possible to take a cycling tour around Yangshuo countryside in July.? I know the weather is really hot and solar radiation is strong.

May 27th, 2007, 23:6

Sorry i didn't reply quite on time.

Yes , cycling in Yangshuo is really a kind of travelling in the fairyland .The hills are

definitely beyond your imagination. So  u r correct that one should do a cycling in this

beautiful town .

Sure enough , it is hot in the summer which means that the  temperature could sometimes be as

high as 39 degree centigrade or higher .

But this never means that cycling is not a good choice .In stead , in July it's just the time

when the rice field gets enough water , the hills get enough greens .........what's more the

air at this time of year is without a doubt the best . U could see how the farmers with their bafallo plough the

fields and how the other farm work is done just on the way of the cyclying .I'm sure u would

not consider the temperature a thing when u r placed in such a fairyland .   And what u should

pay attention to is that if u r really an old lady or gentlmen who never even walked in ur daily life, then

u should be thinking about use a car as the replacement of cycling .Otherwise , the attention should be ours.......

THAT'S MY REPLY TO YOUR QUESTION AND HOPEFULLY U COULD ENJOY UR CYCLYING IN THIS BEAUTIFUL TOWN .

BEST WISHES

YOURS ,

CLIVE

Hi Clive, you are very nice to make this offer .  I think it is a good way to market your skills and attract business.  I hope it works well for you!

My question is about obtaining travel permits to Tibet and Napal.  Can you tell me how to obtain the Tibet permit (to enter Tibet) by way of QingHai railroad?  I will fly from Shanghai to Xining and take the train from Xining to Lhasa.  From Lhasa I want to travel to the Rongphu Monastary and see Mt. Everest.  I think I need another kind of travel permit.  Where can I get it?  Then I want to drive to Kathmandu, Napal.  Who can help me obtain a visa to travel into Napal?

this is clive here .

thanks for ur question which gives me this chance to show off .......

to enter tibet , one is supposed to fulfill a series of requrements .

the basic ones include that u can not be a tibetan in a foreign country and not a

foreign official either .

if u don't have this problem, then u could apply to the travel agency who

will do the rest work for u .for the chinenes, the identification card is needed ,

and for the foreigners ur passports or , sometimes , the copies of ur passports

r required .

it's not that hard as were reported in some programs to get the permission .

In a word , if u have ur valid passports and r not the kind of people listed above ,

and u go through the local travel agency , then everthing would be the agency's .

if u want get the permission through chinahighlights , we would pave all the way

for u . what u should only do is only to wait to enjoy .......

hope u could have a good time in tibet and then nepal .

yours,

clive
