Feel sorry for the missing Lonely Planet author

"Clem Lindenmayer, a 47-year-old man from Victoria, who has written for the travel guidebook company Lonely Planet, disappeared while hiking near Minya Konka mountain, also known as Gongga Shan." have any of you read that news?

I feel really sorry for that writer. The Minya Konka Mountain is really a lure to many adventurers but please keep in mind that the terrain is very complicated and weather changable. Natural disasters such as landslide, avalanche happens occassionally. It's very dangerous to travel along to the area.

Longly Planet is my favorite book. I like the first-hand materials they provide. I am really sorry for that author. God bless him

I was there in October 2006 and saw how quickly the weather can change. But the local people are very friendly and helpful, so maybe he is staying somewhere until able to continue. Let's hope so.

Wow!  Beautiful pictures! I have seen them in some films. If possible, I like to travel to there too!
