During my guiding for the tourists we often mention Chinese dynasties and sometimes see that these foreign tourists are puzzled .This is quite easy to understand. Yet this should not be an obstacle for your whole trip. So , after my guiding work as a guide , I wrote the following information about Chinese Feudalism society in the hope that this could give a general familiarization of our deep culture.
Here we go .
Chinese Dynasties really began from QIN (attention that Qin is quite similar to the last Dynasy Qing )221BC .Qin was considered to be the first dynasy of China for the reason that Qin ,for the first time ,united the whole of China from the previous divided small kingdoms which we call it the SPRING AND AUTUMN PERIOD . Qin not only united the whole of China which today is accepted as its biggest contribution to China, but also left some great constructions .Among these, the Great Wall and the Terra Cotta warriors are world-famous. But the dynasty only lasted for less than 30 years and when the founder, who is also the first emperor of the whole of Chinese history died unexpectedly, the empire collapsed in a few years .
But the short dynasty greatly influenced China during the following 2000 yeas history. For example, from Qin dynasty although China experienced all kinds of regimes, but nearly all of them were the copies of Qin . I mean, they governed the country just the way Qin did.
After the Qin, HAN (206B.C—220A.D) was established .Han which is not Hun, is still today’s name for the Majority of China.
Han Dynasty endured the being overthrown and then the rebirth, Dong Han , which is a given name by scholars for the convenience of distinguishing the early and late period of the dynasty .One thing you may interest you is that it was in Han Dynasty that Buddhism was spread into China . Another great event is that from Han Dynasty, Confucianism became the dominating theory and the cruel theory of Fa was deserted by the rulers.
This dynasty lasted for a pretty long time and came to its end when the 3 KIINGDOMS PERIOD (220--280 ) came into shape .
The 3 kingdoms period is the first time that the whole country was again divided into small kingdoms.
During this period, the whole nation was divided into 3 kingdoms: North , West and Southeast .
The 3 small kingdoms were always at war. So after killing and firing, one of the small kingdoms finished this chaos and established JIN DYNASTY..
Jin Dynasty (280—439) , which was also divided into two periods was not a stable one .
After Jin, China was again in division and experienced tens of short dynasties and small kingdoms .During this period (420—581) , the economy of the north was badly damaged because of the invasions of the minorities and the quick change of their rulers. So people escaped to the south which at last made the south exceeded the north in terms of both population and wealth.
This continued for around 160 years when at last the SUI DYNASTY was built .
Sui (581—618) had only 2 emperors and lasted for 40 years. Nevertheless, the events in this dynasty again greatly influenced China . Of these the Bureaucratic Examinations opened the era that the ordinary people could also be absorbed into the government system through a series of examinations.
Also, the famous Great Cannel was also constructed in this dynasty.
Following the Sui Dynasty, TANG came.
Dynasty Tang (618—907) was the peak of the feudalism development of China .Tang was established by a general of the Previous Dynasty Sui. But the rulers of Tang were quite the opposite of Sui. On the one hand the emperors carefully analysed the lesson from Sui, on the other hand they put their analysis into practice and administrated the nation with a more tolerant attitude to the subjec
