New Seven Wonders of the World chosen

The New Seven Wonders of the World were announced last sunday after a massive global balloting. The Great Wall of China with its everlasting charm and significant cultural connotation, ranks on the top of the new list. Other six  marvels includes: Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer, Peru's Machu Picchu, and Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid, Jordan's Petra, the Colosseum in Rome and India's Taj Mahal.

I am so proud of you, China.

The Great Wall of China, architectural marvels left by our ancestors. It's not only a treasure of China but a cultural heritage of the world.

I think the Great Wall is without a doubt a member of the world's heritages.

"chosen" sounds bit of unfair. 'publicly-recognized or accepted' would ,in my opinion, the better terms.

Anyway, we should be proud of the Great Wall and give more attention not only when there is such a competition but also whenever possible.

I have never been to China, but I adore it, study your culture and just have a lot of friend there. So, my congratulations to you, China!! :-)

I love the older part of the Great Wall by Mutianyu or Jinshanling, Badaling is toooooooo crowded ALL THE TIMES.

The Great Wall is unvisible fom the space which has been confirmed by the Chinese astronaut Yangliwei. Yang said he did not see the Great Wall.

The Great Wall is one of the masterpieces of the Chinese .But we should also remember that it also belongs to the world .

Why not give our thanks to all those who have long been a member dedicating to the protection of this world wonder?
