I recommend Hohhot Huitengxile Grassland as the  best choice for you.

it takes 3.5 hours to travel there from Huhhot by bike. There are more than 99 natural lakes, big and small, distributed among the green grassland. There are small, yellow flowers covering the mountains.  Every May through September, Hutengxile becomes the sea of flowers. You can enjoy your the beautiful landscape by riding on horseback, archery, watching wrestling, and joining in singing and dancing in the open air.

Huitengxile is  most beautiful among several grasslands near Hohhot.

The Huitengxile Grassland is simultaneously remote and touristy. You may be spending a few fabulous days in teh seemingly endless prairie but at the same time, you may be sharing the experience with a gaggle of other tourists. Anyway, the scenery and automosphere is breathtaking and worthwile few days.
