We will be traveling to China in mid July 2008 to visit our daughter. We will only have time for one trip. Would you recommend traveling to Beijing or Xian. We have read about both places and cannot decide.
Thank you

it is surely hard to choose between these two. EN ,Hn ,both so wonderful and so many places of interest! Considering the high time of 2008 Olympics, i recommend you go to Xian, to escape fom the Olympics crownds.http://www.chinahighlights.com
Hi, Xian is a wiser choice as Beijing will be full of people.
I heard that things are only affected during August. Sincere you do your Beijing tour in July, it seems no affect to your tour.
I am interested in Xian, but I am not familiar with any sight there except Terra cotta soldiers. I am interested in night shows, local market, snacks in Xian. Is there any information I could get from you? Thanks!
