Message started by walter_ba21

Hallo,

I would like to travel to China in december/january, for 11 or 12 days. I have just visited Beijing and Xian. Now I would like to include in the tour Guilin. Can you give me some ideas for a winter itinerary? Where to go and where not?

Thank you very much

Walter

Hi, Walter,
I am so glad that you will come back to China with your kid.  Will you visit Beijing and Xian with your kid?
My proposal is Beijing 3 nights, Xian 2 nights, Guilin 1 night, Yangshuo 2 nights and Hongkong 2 nights.  I know your tour duration is from 6th Dec to 6th Jan. It is around Spring Festival in China and you will have chance to enjoy the ambience.

Hi, Morgen,

Thank you very much. I and my family have been in Beijing and Xian last june (my son too, he is 16 years old). I've read your first proposal and it was very interesting (Yellow Mountain, Hangzhou, Guilin and Yangshuo, Hongkong). It's ther snow on Yellov mountains in winter? It's very cold? We would very like to sleep one night in the hotel on the Yellow Mountain to see the sunrise. Is there a cable car?

Now i have found an offer of Lufthansa with discounted airfares to and from Nanjing or Guangzhou. The airfares from Hongkong to italy are very expensive. What do you mean?

Hi, Walter,
It seems that you are interested in that route. Usually, it snows in winter and about -5 to 8 Celsius degree and other place is about 10 to 18 Celsius degree. Yes, there are cable cars up and down, we will arrange it for you. If you are luck enough, you will have chance to see sunrise during winter. Or foggy sight is very terrific.  Why not trying to find round air tickets between your city-shanghai-your city? We could arrange fly back to Shanghai for you from Guilin. Or could you find cheap round airfare between your city and other cities in China? Then we could tailor-made your tour. Waiting for your reply.  Have a nice day!

Dear Morgen,

I like very much the tour 13 days of Selected Picturesque China tour, starting in Shanghai and ending in Hong Kong.

I've found a good very offer of Lufthansa airways from italian airports to Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing (via Frankfurt), but the offer ends at 5th august. This is the reason because I prefer the retourn flight from Guangzhou and not from Hong Kong, (too expensive for me). I hope that it is possible to change the tour program excluding Hong Kong and including Guangzhou. Have a nice day.

Hi, Ani,
I am able to reply your questions now after our weekend.
It depends on you. It is about 10 Celsius Degree in winter in Beijing. It will be lower if it snows.  In winter, they are few tourists and less crowded. Moreover, you have chance to experience Traditional China New Year. That's the most different things you will have than usual. More info, please visit http://www.chinahighlights.com/beijing/map.htm
If you have further questions, please let me know.
Morgen Mo
