best place for shopping in china ?

im wanting to go to china but i dont know where to go . i want to get lots of bargains - chanel bags , designer clothes , jewellery etc . ive heard hong kong & kowloon are pretty good ? also what time of year is best - are there any big sales at a particular time of year ?
