hi, There is an ancient town, called Pingyao, where many ancient chinese buildings can be found. Can anyone here tell me how to get there?

Dear Bamboo, Pingyao is a nice ancient town with outstanding example of Ming and Qing dynasties architectures. The world-famous film director-Zhangyimou once shot his film" Raise the Red Lantern" here, actually today, you will see red lanterns hanging in front of the traditional tile-roofed houses.   Pingyao is easilly accessible from Taiyuan and Shijiazhuang. You can either take a train there or take minibus. Alternatively, minibuses depart from Pingyao to Taiyuan up to 6 pm.   best wishes RuRu
