Accomodations

Can someone please recommend some nice places to stay in Guilin?  I would prefer something special or unique over the typical luxurious hotels.  Money is not too much of an issue seeing that this is for a honeymoon, but I would prefer to have a special place that is worth spending money on.  We plan to stay for at least three nights so please keep that in consideration.

The one called "Guilin Park Hotel" might be a great choice if you don't want to be disturbed by the crowds and have the city center not far from the hotel. 

It situated between the Guihu park and Laoren mountain, lying on the moutian slope,  while the city center is only 1km away. The hotel commands some of the most picturesque views in Guilin and contrasts finely with the famous solitary Peak, Folded Hill and Fubo Hill.  It is well equipped with modern facilities and the building itself is an art master piece. 

Room rate is reasonable compare to other 4 star hotels.

The Li River Waterfall can be one of your choice. the newly-renovated 5-star hotel is superbly situated in the tranquil Ronghu Lake area and next it flows the gree-ribbon-like Li River. Rooms are warmly decorated to suit your needs. come of its rooms comand a fantastic view of the inspring surroundings.
