Can I take photos in China?

hello. I have a few questions actually. firstly, Can I take pictures in China. I will visit it and want to bring home some memos. And can I photo these people in streets? I find the chinese people are very interesting and i do it just for pleasure.

usually, it's ok to take pictures in China but please do not photo police and government officials or you may find yourself a lot of trouble. But in some special area, such as Tibet, more should pay attention to when you take photos as, do not photo people without their pimission and do not take photos in a monastry.
