There seem many different sections of Cruise, but not sure. I only know the tourist-beaten section:chongqing-Wuhan or vice verse and it probably takes you 4 or 5 dyas.

It depends on which sections of the river you to visit. Currently, the cruise ships sailing 4-5 different routes: (1) Chongqing - Wuhan or vice verse. This is the most popular section. It usually takes 4 days 3 night downstream and 6 days 5 nights upstream. (2) Chongqing and Shashi (or or Jingzhou). This section usually takes 3 day 2 night downstream and 5 days 4 night upstream; (3) Some ships are sailing just the Three Gorges section, between Chongqing and Yichang. It usually takes 4 days 3 night upstream and 3 day 2 night downstream. (4) A few ships are extending the itinerary from Chongqing down to Shanghai which makes a 10-day itinerary. (5) A small number ships are sailing Yichang-Fengjie-Yichang. It takes 3 days. But those smaller ships sail on such an itinerary only in the wintertime.
