Is Guangzhou cold in December? Do people wear heavy clothes during that period?

Guangzhou's average high temperature in January is a pleasant 17°C (64°F), with overnight lows drooping to around 10°C (51°F). Still, temperature statistics alone don't really indicate just how cold it can feel when you consider the high relative humidity. Temperatures have dropped to 1°C (34°F) in December and January

it's warm all year round in Guangzhou. But you still need a sweater for winter.

im from northern italy where winters are very cold. guangzhou lies in the subtropic so its temperature doesnt drop much in december and january. tempertaures below 7-8 C are quite rare. nevertheless the feeling of cold can be surprisingly sharp in december and january, expecially in the evening..a sweater and a coat are necessary in this period
