There will be a spring Festival Flower Fair in Guangzhou during the Chinese New Year time. Various flowers will be on show. Have a leisurely stroll along the beautiful flowers decorated streets and buy yourself a potted tangerine tree or some other your favorite flowers and i think you will have a great fun. Tangerine is considered as a symbol of happiness, good luck by the Guangdong locals and the plant is usually the most populat item in that fair. wish you a happy new year.

Fire work was considered to be a “must” during Chinese New Year Festival, but lately, it is not allowed in big cities due to environment protection policy. A lot of people will be mainly stay with their family members. I would suggest you choose to go to the nearby country side during the first day to the 3rd day of the new year because more celebrations will be held there. The celebrations will include Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, local opera show…..
