this is a really paradise on earth.  located 27 kilometer from Yangshuo, in the eastern bank of the Li River, xingping is a ancient town with a history of over 1300 years. Apart from the old buildings dating back from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the place enjoy the best natural scenery aroudn the area, somewhat better than that in Yanghsuo. The mountains surrounding the tiny town, abundant rivers forming a legendary place appears to only belong to a landscape painting.   [image]local://-1/8AA4473504D949FBBA3254774282E9D9.jpg[/image]

most attractions in and around downtown Guilin are worh seeing, such as the Eleghant Trunk Hill, which have been considered as the symbol of the karst formation around the area and the Reed Flute Cave, renowed as" Natural Palace" by the locals. The Li River will prove to be the highlights of your Guilin trip. board a boat taking from Guilin to Yangshuo along the somewhat most beautiful secenry line in China, featuring various karst pinnacles, fantastic caves, rapids, waterfalls...you may find Yangshuo, a tiny town by the river worth a few hours' stay. take s leisure stroll along the nice old street have been very popular to tourists, most enjoying purchasing some souvenirs.  Strangly, the vendors along the street all can speak fluent english. If you want to find more, rent a bike to explore the countryside. Bikes are plenty.   another place you may wish to visit is Longsheng, about 2 hours drive from Guilin. the magical terraced fileds there are the highlights. and it also the hub of ethnical culture in the area. minority tradition, custome including unique dress, dances, songs can be enjoyed there.

Take a boat from Guilin to Yangshuo to enjoy the Li River scene and recommend you to overstay one night at Yangshuo to explore the little town, sampling the local food, joining the locals for a friendly talk, almost everyone there can speak nice english. You may take a long distance bus back to Guilin and then hop a long distance bus to Longsheng.
