There is a green lotus peak in Yangshuo which you could climb to the top to enjoy the scenery of the whole little town.
But until weeks ago I had long been considering the entrance of the park the only way to get to the park and then climb.
Weeks ago a group from the U.S. found another way to climb with the help of GPRS mechanism.
Climbing through the new path which is more exciting than through the park entrance is just at a turning point of the road coming out the city. Here I would give you the information......
After the cruise, one would easily see a park just beside a mall bridge. This park is just the entrance to the green lotus peak. But you have to pay if you use this way which is less exciting. So you can continue going until you come to the west street which would take around 5 minutes if you are not interesting in those souvenir stands on the street.
Then get through the west street and turn on the left and continue walking for around three or four minutes until you come to the turning part of the road. The new path is just on your left.
The new path is efforts rather than money consuming and sometimes dangerous but more challenging and exciting. When you get to the top you could see the whole of the town, including the river which is snaking among the beautiful mountains. If you are fond of adventure and want to challenge yourself, then don’t miss this lotus peak through this new path.

Hi, Clive, to conqure the hill is not easy particularly in hot summer days

It is not easy at all. As a matter of fact, one of them fell down for several times and got few injuries. But this is nothing when you sit atop the peak and enjoy the satisfaction of conquering. Of course, in the summer you had better not climb if you are not interested at all. Otherwise having a try would still be a good choice, although hot in the summer. REMEMBER TO TAKE ENOUGH FRESH WATER
