Is the food in small restaurant safe ?

Hi there, I am now enjoy my trip in Guilin now. I have seen many Chinese peope go to have lunch and supper in the small restaurants in both street side. Some of the restaurants are not so good and are dirty in some corner.  Is it safe to eat in the small restaurants?

Hello Kinson, happy to know you concerning about the safty of Chinese food which has raised great importance of China's government. In order to keep the food safe, Chinese govenment has do a lot jobs to make sure the food safe for people to eat.Many quality checking centre have been set up for quality control. The food in some small restaurants are  some nightmare of government and peopel who often go. But with the concern of food safty keeps in people's mind, food safty problems will be reduced step by step. In order to eat safe food, i recommend you to have your meal in some locoaly reconized restaurants, for exmple Taste Made, Good taste and so on.

If you are in Guilin, I think, most probably, you are talking about Rice Noodles, which is on every street. It is safe to eat there becasue: 1) All the plates and chopsticks are disinfected from Government companies and they will be used only once for the day and at the end of the day, The Government disinfected company will come to take them away for disinfection ---- When you are using them, please make sure that that restaurant use the disinfected dishwares and chopsticks. 2) Even you are not eating rice noodles, most of Chinese food are cooked or deep fried, they are always fine to eat. Go to enjoy.

Rice Noodle shops in Guilin are required to use disinfected dishwares, there is always a piece of paper attached for non-used dishwares.
