Sure you can visit Tibet with your child but you are recommended not to. The climate and general harsher condtion in Tibet is not ideal for young kids and the attractions are not thoes which young children want to visit and the facilities are very primitive. Your kid will easily get tired of endless round of monasteries in Tibet. If you will bring your kid there, here are some suggestions for you: 1. try to stay in Lhasa or the around area, for living condition in the romote areas are harsher and basic. 2. stay off the religious sights which may bore your kid and try some other attractions such as visiting a local school and let your child communicate or play with his cotemporary kids. There is a Blind School in Lhasa which is built by a German blind lady may be your option. anyway, just some suggestion.
