On 26th July, the Dong community in Zhaoxing, in China’s southwestern Guizhou Province was gathering celebrating the “Hantian Festival” which is dedicated to worshipping the heaven and ancestors for having been blessed them with a bumper year. After the main celebrations, a over-1,000 meter impressive “ Long Street Dinner” was arranged to invite all the resident and visitors alike to join.
The Southwest Guizhou is an enclave of pure land that has been little touched by modernization and the ethnical people there still keep their conventional lifestyle, living in their aged wooden houses, practise centuries-old custom, etc. They have many interesting festivals and occasions throughout the year.
