Do i need a visa to go to Yunan province? I know you need one for Tibet?

Hope the government will change it soon. It is a bit harass to go through the extra procedure to get a special Permit to Tibet when you have already got a visa for China.

Yunnan is great place for your holiday. I like the ancient town Lijiang. No traffic jam, no pollution, no working stress. life here is simple. You don't need any visa to Yunnan.You need only one visa for China, you can go anywhere in China except Tibet, you need a special permit given by Tibet Tourism Burea. But I heard that the Government is considering to change this, hopefully, foreigners can go there without going though all the extra procedure obtaining Tibet permits

You don't need any other visa to Yunnan,If you you have the visa for China

Nope, no visa for Yunnan neither anyplace in China excpet proper Tibet.
But remember that tibetan zones are sometimes blocked to foreigners.
