Hello,
My husband and myself are planning to relocate to China. We are Indian nationals but Permanent Residents of USA. Do we need to go back to our home country to get the visa stamped or can we get it done in US?
Appreciate if someone could guide me as early as possible...........Thankyou.

If you are holding the US passport, I think you can have them stamped in the US, other wise, you have to go back to Idia.

Duchinus, last I met a friend who was a us citizen but stayed in Japan came to China, he had to get his visa stamped in us. So you need to post your visa to us to get a stamp or go back to us to get it, and then you could start your China tour. How about double check by contacting China Embassy in us? http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/ You will get what you want there and prepare your China travel.
I checked with the embassy too, they suggest I should be in India to get it stamped. Many Thanks for your help.

Duchinus, Congratulations. To sum up, any citizens plan to apply China Visa, it is required to come back to their country to apply a China visa. Wish you could obtain your China visa in your earliy time and have a nice China tour in the following months.

hi there,
what i know is that for you to travel to any country, you need to have your visa from your point of origin be stamped before you begin your travel outside of your country.
