Every June 24 in the Lunar Calenda, The Yi people in Xichang, a famous satellite-launching, will put on theire best clothing and gather together singing and dancing. A beauty pagent, fashion show and contest featuring horseracing wrestling and archary will also be held. At night, people will hold torch parades in the wildness to commemorate their heroes. There are mainly nine Festivals in Sichuan, as follow:
Chengdu Flower Festival is held every April 5 in the cultural park of Chengdu.
Pixian Song Festival is held in late September .
Horseracing Festival on the Aba Grasslands is held in early July.
Zigong International Dinoasaur Lantern Festival is held in Chinese New Year.
Emei Mountain Pilgrimage Festival in April
Wutong Qiao Dragon Boat Festival is held in Wutongqiao.
Nanchong Silk Festival is held from August 31 to September 4.
Zhuanshan Festival on Paoma Mountain, Kangding is held in April 8 every yeaer.
