The earthquake happened in Wenchuan in Sichuan province on 12th May caused massive damage to the area. We wish it will recover in a short time. People there could start their new life, enjoy their work and weekend soon.

According to the lastest news release at 7pm May13,  the earthquake has caused over 12,000 death in Sichuan province, and the death toll for neighboring regions are: Chongqing 50, Gansu 206, Shanxi 103, Henan 2.   The number is expecting to rise because of the difficulties of getting to the hitted areas.

Lets pray for all the students that have been trapped in their schools. I have heard that some of them may still be alive.

We send our thoughts to China. It is hard for Australians to believe such a terrible thing has happened to the Chinese people.

I write friends in Chengdu, but no reply.  So worried for them.  Feel deep sorrow and compassion.  I was in major earthquake when I was schoolboy.  The terror is yet in my own bones.  Everyone prayer for calm hearts, please.  You cannot know......you cannot know.....

My heart goes out to those so terribly stricken by the earthquake. I only hope the people of China know how many of us are praying for you and how much of each day you are in our thoughts. I hope and pray that many, many more are found safe and that aid from within and outside China is beggining to help.
