Huashan tour from Xian

Has anyone been to Huashan from Xi'an. Is there a relatively straightforward way of getting there from the city?  Can anyone recommend any organised trips that aren't too expensive run by any operations in Xi'an?  Where would people recommend going when they get there? Where to stay for a night? It is hard to find the hotel information there. What time is sunrise?

Hi, the scenery is really worth the extra time - buses are easy to get. I've been there once last September. I had never thought of taking a organized group tour. Possible route: get a minibus there from in front of the Xian train station when the bus drops you off, take the cable car up. Stay the night at one of the lodges on the mountain and walk down the next afternoon and catch a bus back to Xian. You will have no problem. Tour expenses can keep as low as ¥500-600 if you find someone to share the room rate with you.
