Where locates the best ski resorts in China?

We are a family of four and  planning a 30 day trip in China. We have already had 20 days arranged.  Cities includes Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Guilin, Shanghai and surrounding area, Xian, Beijing. For an extension, we would like to ski somewhere which is not so far from the cities we are going to.  By the way, we are all beginners except my wife.

Where locates the best resorts in China? Can I find one just close by? Should I book through travel agency in advance? Not enough info online right now. Thanks

Hi, Ronkala, I forgot to tell you that you may need to book in advance if you want to ski there during the period Ice & Snow Festival held( Jan 5- Feb 5). As you will take an extension trip, it is easy to get it arranged by a travel agency inluding flight or train tickets and accomodation.

Call the guys at localnoodles.com.  They run a trip up to the local ski resorts every weekend.  I've attended one of their trips and had a great time.
