I thorough enjoyed my trip to the silk road in west China's Xinjiang region. The area is another world in China, very different in culture, landscape. I will recommend the silk road to anyone who will make a trip to China.
The photo was shot at the Livestock Market in Kashgar, which is my favorite of all. The Market was fantastic. The locals usually exchange their livestocks here.
Mike, you are right. The Silk Road area is fantastic, imposing. We visited the area last year and we were all agreed that Kashgar was the most interesting place on the route. All the attractions we saw were good, and the Sunday Livestock Market was fantastic. BE SURE TO INCLUDE A SUNDAY HERE, HOW AWFUL TO COME AND MISS THAT MARKET!a
