do i need a special visa to go to Yunnan province?

Do i need a visa to go to Yunan province? I know you need one for Tibet?

Hope the government will change it soon. It is a bit harass to go through the extra procedure to get a special Permit to Tibet when you have already got a visa for China.

You don't need any visa to Yunnan.You need only one visa for China, you can go anywhere in China except Tibet, you need a special permit given by Tibet Tourism Burea. But I heard that the Government is considering to change this, hopefully, foreigners can go there without going though all the extra procedure obtaining Tibet permits
