dense parasol trees!!.
Aug.25 Sunny today we went to Dr. Sun-Yat Sen's Mausoleum in Nanjing...actually today was divided into two parts, a visit to Dr. Sun-Yat Sen's Mausoleum for the morning and a visit to Confucian Temple for the afternoon... well, though we spent a whole day in Nanjing with the guide, we didnt get much information about the city... there were chinese customers and german customers on the bus, the local guide spoke both chinese and german... the scenic area was quite nice and the bus wound its way in dense parasol trees, things seemed to be standing still and passengers didnt want to talk but just enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. just in a blink of an eye, we lost others...and it was too exhausting to walk in such a huge Mausoleum...the sun shined brightly, god how could i forget to take my sunglasses with me!? after lunch on board we went to Confucian Temple, but actually our aim was not for worship or others but just shopping! sorry to be so frankly, but shopping is one of the favorites for ladies everywhere.... i dont like shopping too much but i did have to pick up some local snacks for friends...and i was glad to help other friends to bargain, but surely kim was much more brutal than me...haha.... the dinner was served in a special way, it was the farewell dinner held by the captain..the captain was standing by the door and shaking hands with everyone of his guests...the restaurant was nicely decorated, even the table cloth was changed to a pretty pink one with pink roses.... we also attended the farewell party, the cruise staff danced a lot, and other passengers sang a lot, vee and i also sang a folk song, but regret to say that a rock'n'rock would be more appealing!! and i took the chance to thank my great friends on board...kim, larry, viki, carol, phylis and many others that i even didnt know their names...
prepare formal suit or dress for the farewell dinner...
