1. Solar eclipse viewing in Haining Ancient Town, Hangzhou
A unique astronomical phenomenon will take place in China on 22nd July 2009. The total eclipse will cover many cities, including Hangzhou, Haining, Huangshan. Haining in Zhejiang Province is one of the best observation places to witness the longest total solar eclipse in over a century. The eclipse will start around 8:30, and the maximum time of the total phase will last about 5 minutes. Standing under the shadow of the sun is a rare opportunity and one that is inexpressibly spectacular. .
