Visitor Rating:
Commencing in the southwest of Yangshuo, your experienced, English-speaking guide will hiking with you alongside the clean, fast- flowing waters of the Yulong River through the beautiful karst countryside for which this area is famous. You will walk through the peaceful and beautiful farmland and stop briefly in the 1200 year old village of Jiuxian, which dates back to the Tang Dynasty. Here you may pick up some of the luscious local fruits, appreciate the fantastic old buildings with delicate wood carving and have a talk with the locals. It’s a great opportunity to see people and have a close-up view of their life. Then you will stop on the way at Dashi Bridge, where the Yulong River meets the Li River, giving you a surreal scene often portrayed in many Chinese paintings. You will also visit Xiangui Bridge, which is the oldest stone bridge in the Guangxi. (Total hiking distance: 30km, total hiking time: about 7 hours)
