Situated in the east of the Huangpu River, the southwest of the mouth of the Yangtze River, and adjacent to the urban districts of Shanghai, including the former country of Chuansha and former Sanlin village of Minhang district, Pudong New Area covers 523 square kilometers with a population of more than 1.4 million. It consists of 4 key areas: the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, the Jinqiao Export Processing Zone, the Waigaoqiao Bonded Zone, and the Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park Zone. Pudong New Area has become a new hot spot for investment in China.
