The Seven Treasures Town is famous for its old streets, which were once named as the Ding's Farmstead in the ancient Chinese Dynasty of Han.A legend said that the place was so named because it possessed the following seven treasures – the Gold Lotus Scripture, the Magic Tree, the Big Bell Floated from Afar, the Buddha Flown over from Afar, the Gold Cock, the Jade Chopsticks and the Jade Axe.
The snack shops sell the famous foodstuffs such lamb meat, preserved pork, square rice cake and the glutinous rice dough etc. People visiting here can walk through the lane, look for distinguished scenery, hear the old stories, sip the fragrant tea and taste the delicious snacks. If the time could go back, they were able to find back the saga of Shanghai in the past.
