The Community Church is Shanghai's largest Protestant church. The wood and brick church harks back to Tudor England in style, it was constructed by Shanghai's Americans in 1925. The Church has more than 1,400 seats. Church services are conducted in Mandarin on Sunday mornings and evenings, and in English on Sunday afternoons. Anyone can attend the Chinese services, but you must have a foreign passport to attend the English speaking service. On Christmas day and Easter, A big party is held here to celebrate the festival.
