Excellent choice in a good location about a two minute walk to a subway station (Yong an li). Very comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms in tower B. Front desk was helpful, all staff were friendly and there was always someone around who spoke English. It is a medium to small size hotel with a lovely interior garden and extremely attractive lobby and public areas.

Conveniently located hotel in the Commercial Business District, though as it is surrounded by Beijing's gridlocked traffic allow more time than you ever thought possible to get anywhere. The rooms are large, bathrooms clean, and bed satisfactory. The staff are helpful and speak a decent amount English.

The hotel is in a very convenient location with a subway station right next to it. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The hotel staff are very nice, and some people can understand/converse in English. They were very helpful with our queries for directions, sightseeing, etc. Breakfast is excellent and even vegetarians like me had a good amount of choice! There are very good restaurants in the neighborhood (incl Ganges, an Indian restaurant). It is very close to shopping areas like the Silk market, Wangfujing street and is just a couple of subway stations away from Forbidden City/Tiananmen square. To summarize, I had a great stay at Jianguo and would definitely stay there when I visit Beijing next time.

This is a very nice, cosy and nice hotel. The staff is as polite as any Chinese would be. Breakfast had a very good choice of Asian and Western food, although price was a bit high for Beijing. We had dinner at Justine's French restaurant in the hotel. The food and service were excellent, but the price was way too high – almost $200 for two courses with two glasses of wine. We ate out in a first rate Shanghai restaurant in the Orient Plaza for only about a quarter of that. Overall it is a good hotel and I would recommend to any business traveller to Beijing.

The hotel is from 1982 and a bit out-dated in terms of design and style. However, it still has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff in reception and restaurants.

I always stay in this hotel when I go to Beijing. The hotel is starting to show a bit of age but is clean, the rooms are fine and generally comfortable, I thought the beds were very comfortable for China, staff were all helpful.

Good location for business - world trade center just a block away. For the price, it is a good quality hotel.

The hotel was average - it was ok, not great. The rooms are old, but ok. The outside area must be very beautiful in the summertime, when the fountains are free of ice. People are smoking everywhere and that is a bit annoying but usual in China.
