Great location,. Well connected by Metro. Also adjoining Shanghai Railway station. Lots of eateries nearby. We chose the Executive rooms which included very good buffet breakfast and happy hour. The staff were excellent.

The hotel staff is friendly and professional, staff can handle unusual situations/problems. Location close to metro and Shanghai Railway Station is really good. Airbus no 5 has a convenient stop close to the hotel.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. We stayed at executive floor. The rooms were extreemly clean and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good mix of both American and asian options. The cocktail hour is also great with plenty of variety and you can make your own if you like. You will be hard pressed to find a better value in this part of Shanghai.

This hotel is located a few blocks from Shanghai's main railway station. The room was small but very clean. The staff was great. I called the concierge a few days before our departure from the US and ordered our train tickets. They were waiting for us. There was a 20 RMB service charge but it was well worth if for the convenience.

Overall it's a good hotel. The rooms have always been clean and well kept. Of course it looks a bit old as it is one of the oldest ones in the area. That does not mean it is bad. They are upgrading the rooms to make them more modern but even now they have flat screen TV's with International Stations and decent furniture. The excutive rooms are the best bargin and unless you are a hearty breakfast eater the excutive lounge is fine and of course included.

Hotel is divided in two buildings, or wings, with separate check-in areas. Rooms are small, old-style bathrooms. Hotel is located conveniently opposite Shanghai Railway Station - useful for the metro to People's Square, but not necessarily for train travel, as most long-distance trains go thru Shanghai South Station, or Hongqiao Station, NOT Shanghai Railway Station.
