Reviews on Citycourt Hotel, Beijing
Avg. Member Rating:4.2 out of 5.
Citycourt Hotel is a traditional siheyuan(a compound of houses around a square courtyard) and courtyard style hotel in the heart of Beijing Historical Conservation Zone.
The buildings are of the Ming Dynasty style (500 years ago), which were elevated in stature from the Yuan Dynasty beginnings of over 600 years ago.It was once one part of the mansion of MuKuShi ,the fourth daughter of NuErHaChi (the first emperor of Qing Dynasty).
Walking through the alleys of old Beijing, After stepping through the old-style red gate, you will be encircled deeply into the two-courtyard, heard by the fresh air and calm the feelings ,hear the birdies sing on the old jujube tree, immediately let you relax and temporarily forget busy and noisy in the city.
Walking distance to the Bell & Drum Towers, Nanluoguxiang bar street, Shichahai scenic area, and subway /metro station. Approx. 3.5 km to the Forbidden City (North Gate) and Jingshan Park; 2 km to Beihai Park (North Gate); 5 km to Tian'anmen square. About 7 km to 2008 Olympics Main Stadium, and 26 km to the airport.
We promise that the guests can appreciate to their heart’s content the exquisiteness of the Chinese traditional culture while enjoying the living atmosphere of Chinese traditional royal court.

I suppose the day starts later for the folks at citycourt.I was served breakfast only once on the first morning, the second morning I was asked if I wanted breakfast 5 minutes before scheduled departure. Gerry specificially asked to have breakfast ready at 0730.(I did not tell Gerry about this)
