Flower Market in Kunming, Yunnan: A Place Makes Ladies Anthomaniacs
1 Cha Street (岔街1号) is the most famous flower market in Kunming. It is not very large, but you can find all kinds of flowers there. A bunch of roses (about 20 roses) only costs you 10 yuan. Almost every lady coming out from the market, hold large bunch of colorful flowers.

The flower market is not very far from Kunming Airport and Kunming Railway Station. Taking a taxi from above two places to the market only costs about 20 yuan. Right facing the market, there are snacks shops selling local snacks, including the most famous snack in Yunnan: rice noodles (米线).

If you intend to buy flowers in the market, the only tips is: go around to check out more shops, compare their prices and do not take the shopkeepers’ falsehood seriously (such as: the flowers have been embalmed and can be well-kept for 2 years). In fact, beside tourists, there are also some local frequent visitors buying flowers there, and it would be a wise choice to buy flowers following them.

Dried flowers wrapped in boxes are nice choices for tourists from far away. Of course, they are a little more expensive than fresh flowers.

Sachets might make your breathing difficult if you are too close to them. However, they can make your confined space (such as car, wardrobeand cabinet and so on) smell good. It is said that these sachets can also make your wardrobe mothproof. 3–4 sachets only take 10 yuan.
