Badaling Great Wall Video
The Great Wall at Badaling is situated in Yanqing County, about 70 kilometers north of Beijing. It is the best preserved and the most popular section of the Great Wall. Building commenced in 1503 during the Ming dynasty and it has undergone substantial restoration over time; it was the first section of the wall to open to tourists in 1957. The Badaling Great Wall was listed in the World Cultural Heritage list by UNESCO in 1988. On July 7, 2007, it was also listed in the New Seven Wonders of the World.
