Longji Hiking Video
Ping'an Village is about 800 meters (2600 feet) above sea level and it is an ideal place to see the famous Longji Terraced Fields. We took 20 minutes to hike up from the village to view point 2. From there we could see famous landmarks like Seven Stars Surrounding the Moon. We continued to hike from view point 2 to view point 1 where we could see the dragon's scale-like terraced fields. Our one-day hiking trip was from Ping’an Village to Dazhai Village, we hike through Zhonglu Village and Tiantouzhai Village. These villages are good places to see the terraced fields where they are less touristy. The five hours of hiking were unforgettable. We were impressed by the natural and man-made beauty. The hiking route is well known to hikers.
