Mutianyu Great Wall Video
Mutianyu Great Wall is located 80 kilometers (2.5 hour journey) to northeast of Beijing. It was built at Ming Dynasty 600 year ago. This 2km long portion of the Great Wall has 22 watch towers, about one every kilometer, on overlapping mountain ranges. with the highest having an altitude of about 540 meters.
As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.
