Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum Video

The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum is located on Changyang Road in the Hongkou district. The museum was founded in 1907 in original Ohel Moshe Synagogue. The Synagogue moved to its current site in 1927. The Ohel Moshe Synagogue which houses the Museum is a three-story gray-and-red brick building that has been restored to its original state. The first floor is the prayer hall. The second and third floor house exhibit from the Jewish faith and a collection of items donated item used by the residents of the Jewish quarter. These include wooden chairs, tobacco tins, a fan, electric iron and a Singer sewing machine.
